About JC Burdine
She sees the world cinematically with the color sense of a painter.
As a graduate in fine arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art, JC Burdine learned the color theory in painting which she would evolve into large scale photographic imaging and proprietary use of photoshop for compression of color.
Formerly an Art Director on prestige fragrances for Grey Europe, JC Burdine was responsible for supervising shoots all over the world and learned from world-famous photographers-- driving down the Sunset Strip at midnight with cameras on the hood of a car, shooting beneath the the oculus in the Pantheon in Rome, or for a portrait session in Stockholm.
Did you know?
JC Burdine has eight children's books to her credit which are illustrated by her Photoshopped images. Sales from these books fuel fundraisers for animal rescue organizations across the country.
She also directed and shot the 90 minute documentary, "In the Shadows of Grey Gardens," an update on friends and family left in the wake of Big and Little Edie Beale of East Hampton as seen in the film "Grey Gardens" shot in 1975 by the Maysles brothers.
Before her sojourn working in Europe, JC was a full time painter working from her studio in Soho, NYC. JC was known for canvases as large as 8 feet square, mixing her own paint from raw mineral pigments to create intense levels of colors.
